People in the rainforest
There are many people in the rainforest. Including the Yanomami tribe,
Tukano tribe, Mbuti tribe and the Huli tribe.

This is a tribal elder wearing traditional clothing for a tribal celebration. he also is wearing traditional manioc paint. He is holding one of his traditional weapons which we call is a spear.
Yanomami Tribe:
The Yanomami tribe all live in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. This tribe has a tradition. The tradition is that they never ever eat the food they have caught istead they share it with others. They would eat what the other people from the tribe has caught. Also, the villiage would live in a big communal house which is called a yano. A yano is aroun building made with leaf and vine. Also, they hold big feasts when the women dance and sing late into the night.
Scientists think that the Yanomami tribe have lived in this area since the first people arrived in South America, about 50`000 years ago. The Yanomami people all live in 350 scattered villages in the forest. Every 3-4 years they change their place of living to look for a new area where they can have a change and a different layout. The Yanomami tribe use simple tools, taking food from the forest by hunting, fishing, and collecting fruit, insects, frogs and other things they need.

Tukano tribe:
The Tukano tribe also live in the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. The Tukano people are all very small but very stong. They have many traditions but one of them is that the men are always called after birds and women after plants. Within the Tukano tribe there are 20 little groups with 20 different languages. Other names after Tukano is Ye pa-masa and Dasea. This tribe wear very bright head pieces with feathers, body paint and piercing.
Part of the Tukano culture the men aren't allowed to marry outside of their group and language. The women would then move to live in the men's group and lifestyle. The climate in the Tukano area is fairly the same through the year ranging from the lowest 19 degrees to about 32 decrees. Fish is a big part in the tukano people's diet. The men would use a bow and arrow to catch the fish and would take a lot of skill.
Mbuti tribe:
This tribe live in Central Africa. They are very small and short only reaching up to 150m. The Mubi tribe treat everything with respect, only taking what they need for the tribe. These people also know a lot about edible plants and animals living in the forest. One of the traditions is the Molimo. This tradition can be, giving thanks to the forest for what it has provided them or an event such as a death.
The Molimo is also a instrument that is similar to a trumpet. This makes a beautiful sound which men sing. This tribe has an estimated population of 30,00-50,00 people. The mbuti tribe religion is the forest as they sometimes called it mother and father. Part of their religion is that if something bad happens to a child the rainforest is asleep.

As there culture is, the men wear a big head hat with many decorations and decorate their bodies with manioc which is a starchy plant root. Another tradition is they perform songs and dance to honor the forest. The men do the hunting, as the women gather and grow crops to eat. One of there main foods are sweet potato which are also grown by the women.
The Huli men and women live in separate huts or houses. Men's huts are all near the middle of the village as can be used for meeting and the women surrounding them. A woman may own pigs and other valuables, and she is entitled to he food she grows in her gardens, but she can never achieve the wealth and influence that a man can.

In conclusion, the people in the rainforest are the same as us. Even though there are a different colour and dress different and that we live in cities and we are more industial, we are still the same. The rainforest people are very unique and different and create a special culture and tribe. Because of this we should respect them and think about them as we try to fix the problem of the rainforest. It we lose the rainforest people the rainforest will not nearly be as beautiful and different.
